I'm Cole Prophet, MS, LPC (they/them). My intersectional identity includes being Black, genderqueer, and disabled. My practice is focused on providing therapy for queer and transgender people of color and gender variant individuals of any race. Sex positivity is one of my values, so I work comfortably with sex workers, those into kink or BDSM, and ethically non-monogamous relationships.

I don't believe that there is a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. My style draws from interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems IFS), Attachment Theory, and Narrative Therapy. Regardless of which modality I may use in session, my unifying technique is getting to know clients with non-judgmental and open curiosity. Then I reflect back the strengths I see and offer tools, perspective, and a safe space to heal and grow. I encourage clients to be the owners of their own healing journey.
